Cheryl Simcox, MA, LPC Associate, NCC Supervised by Jennifer J. Cain, MA, LPC-S, RPT-S

Cheryl graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health. She is an LPC Associate under the supervision of Jennifer J. Cain, MA, LPC-S, RPT-S. Cheryl has received training in play therapy, sand tray therapy, trauma and crisis therapy and is pursuing her Registered Play Therapy credential (RPT).  Cheryl enjoys working with children, tweens, teens, as well as adults. As a parent, she understands the challenges that come with raising children and the importance of feeling supported while walking with your child through their own unique journey. As a Registered Nurse, Cheryl has experience providing care and support to patients and caregivers who face various challenges with empathy and understanding. As a counselor, she believes in creating a therapeutic relationship with her clients while using an eclectic approach including Person-Centered, Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Cheryl is certified in Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

Cheryl cherishes spending time with her husband, four sons, and one amazing daughter-in-law. She loves traveling to different parts of the country and creating lasting memories with family and friends.  She enjoys spending time with a good book, running the trails of The Woodlands, and meaningful conversations with friends over coffee.
